Bangor Erris GP services must be protected

Fianna Fáil TD for Mayo Dara Calleary has called on the government to protect the General Practitioner services in Bangor Erris, County Mayo following ongoing risks to the service.   Raising the matter in the Dáil, Deputy Calleary said “We have been well served by the GP in Bangor Erris however there is concern in the community as we understand the GP has been offered another role which it is expected he will accept.   “While the clarity that a GP will be in place until March is welcome who will apply for the GMS list and take over the practice afterwards? Two dietitians secured for Mayo confirms Calleary

Fianna Fáil TD for Mayo Dara Calleary has been informed that two dietitians have been confirmed for County Mayo having raised this matter in the Dáil. There have been up to 635 people on waiting lists for dietitian services in the County, with 226 waiting for over one year for an appointment.   Deputy Calleary said “I welcome the news that two new dietitians have been appointed yet there are still questions to answer. When will they start? Where will they cover?
